Newtown, mural
This mural has been painted on the side wall of a liquor shop, on the corner of King Street and Whateley Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. The mural promotes the craft beer Young Henrys which is brewed in a nearby micro brewery,
Quite eye catching.
ReplyDeleteLots of micro breweries near me, too.
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of Hooray Henrys.
ReplyDeleteYes I can see the bottle of beer, it fits in well with the shop.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is a good advertisement. I see a skull
ReplyDeleteI agree that you are mesmerized by this mural, but the snake and skull would put me off. It would be a good idea for Halloween, but not for people who didn't know the actual beer. Still, it's a great find.
ReplyDeleteI think it has an inner city hipster vibe so skulls, snakes and flames would be appealing.
DeleteGreetings from the city of Henry the Lion, we have such breweries, too :-)
ReplyDeleteHas me wondering about the difference between a mural/street art and advertising/shop signage. Is the former art and the latter design?
ReplyDeleteEye catching mural or advertisement.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a beer drinker, but don't know if I would want to associate a skull and a snake with beer.
ReplyDeleteIt's still eye-catching for sure, maybe that is the point of it. Thanks for contributing Jim.
