Gardiner Park is located on the corner of Wolli Road and Gardiner Avenue, in the southern suburb of Banksia. It features cricket pitches and playing fields for rugby league and soccer. This rose garden is alongside pathways from the Gardiner Avenue entrance.

What a delightful view, Jim. And maybe also because rugby and soccer can't be played right now? Many thanks for sharing this place with All Seasons, and sincerely hope that you all in Australia will soon start the reversal of the virus. In America it will be intense this whole year, because of the election of the president in November. Have a comfortable week, Jesh
ReplyDeleteLife has started to return to normal, Jesh. The community sport matches began again two weeks ago and I have seen soccer matches return to the fields over the last two weekends.
DeleteIsn't the banksia also a large tree? Nice garden though.
ReplyDeleteNot so much a big tree but a shrub, which does have big flowers though. Banksia is named for Joseph Banks, a botanist on the Voyage of Discovery of James Cook which visited the nearby Botany Bay in 1770. The Banksia plant is also named after him.
DeleteNow those roses look very beautiful under the sun! What a great entrance to welcome park-goers!
ReplyDeleteMy house used to be there until it burned to the ground. Council bought the land off my mom and dad
DeleteOur cities are so crowded and dusty, we really need more and more space allocated to gardens, parks and outdoor sports sites. Well done Banksia.
ReplyDeleteParks are so important for people to enjoy the outdoors. - Margy
ReplyDeleteLove the roses. I really wish I have the skill to grow them. I've failed twice. Beautiful park.
ReplyDeleteVery serene and soon colorful with flowers

No roses out here yet and I assume yours are ending! Our parks are sort of open although you can't use any equipment and must social distance from other people.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rose garden! I have only 1 rose bush but just today was thinking of a rose garden!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the roses in the park.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Have a wonderful weekend!
