Darling Point, bench
A decorative sculpted bench in the gardens of McKell Park, in the eastern suburb of Darling Point. The Bird of Paradise or Strelitzia is the plant next to it with the striking bird-like orange flowers, native to Africa but grows well in Australia
the bench is perfect for the garden and I love bird of paradise
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have seen a sculpted public bench before. Great idea.

ReplyDeleteHello, Jim!
The bank is gorgeous. I also like how the footsteps were laid. Strelitsia exists in Romania only in flower shops, it has no conditions to grow in nature. It is not hot enough all year round.
Thanks for sharing!
Have a great day!
Beautiful, peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteI'm no Buddhist, but this makes me say "OM"!

A nice corner to stay and read or dream! I like a lot when there is in such a place a sculptured object.

Happy WW, Jim! Thanks for the visit on my blog!
And I want such an arrangement in my garden .. Happy Ts. !!!
ReplyDeleteThe carving on the bench breaks the mundane. BoP (Bird of Paradise) grows well here in India too. Its a very striking flower.
ReplyDeleteSo nice for the sculptor to decorate that bench else it would have been just another plain bench. Bird of Paradise is an unusual name for a flowering plant.
ReplyDeleteBirds of Paradise is a lovely species, and that looks like a quite bench to be at peace while reading. nice book. I think I'll head there now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us on #WW, Jim.
