Newtown, cafe

This former cafe and restaurant is located along King Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It has gone out of business and the shopfront now remains vacant like a lot of shops since the pandemic began. The curious decorations on the power pole are a range of thongs (or flip flops) and other footwear to create some sort of strange art installation.

  1. Nice building, it's too bad they went out of business. Lots of small businesses here had the same fate. Interesting seeing the flip flops on the power pole. Have a wonderful day!

  2. ...these are hard times for restaurants! Those signs are popping up around here too!

  3. How sad it has been :( Since March 2020, all the coffee shops have kept communities alive - first by selling take aways and then by putting chairs and tables outside. I hope they can open up again soon.

  4. It's sad so many businesses have gone due to Covid, we can only hope 2021 will be better.
