Lunar Lanterns have been installed around the city to celebrate the Sydney Lunar New Year Festival. This year is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese zodiac. This Snake lantern is installed outside the Queen Victoria Building on the corner of George Street and Druitt Street. It was created by Alexandra Sommer and Brad Clark and inspired by children's craft. The zodiac symbol of the Snake can be characterised as being sly or ruthless, however signifies wisdom and humour.
