The entrance to Dalgety's Bond Stores along Munn Street, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. The heritage-listed former warehouse complex was built in 1875 in the Free Classical style, providing storage space for the nearby shipyards. The steep fall of the site reveals three more storeys below, addressing Hickson Road adjacent to the wharf. The warehouses were redeveloped in the 1970s and are now used for commercial office space.

Good that it is preserved.
ReplyDeleteThe stone window looks magnificent!
ReplyDeleteBeing adjacent to the wharf was a terrific location for a warehouse complex, even if the rise of the three storeys was steep.
ReplyDeleteNice shot with clear blue sky!
ReplyDeleteFine looking Romanesque architecture in this old building. Good it is still useful and being occupied.
ReplyDeleteA nice looking heritage building, just like many of the ones here.
ReplyDeleteThis solid-looking building will probably be standing in another two centuries.
