The Ibero - American Plaza is located along Chalmers Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. This site was founded in 1989 to commemorate the contribution of Spanish and Portugese speaking people to Australia. It features a series of 11 busts and 2 statues representing significant historical figures and national heroes donated by nations including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela.

What a fascinating photo of an interesting site. I spent time in Spain this year and was intrigued by the Arab influence in terms of culture language and cuisine. Thanks for sharing this interesting image.
