The facade of the Woolworths building, on the corner of George Street and Park Street, featured this Christmas light installation made up of more than 91,500 LED lights.
This was originally the flagship Woolworths Variety Store, a discount department store. The building now houses a Woolworths Metro, which is a small city supermarket, on two levels. Above is a very small Big W discount department store, on one level.

ReplyDeletePretty. We have some old buildings downtown with the rounded edges, including a Woolworth's building. I think they are on some historic registry here.
