Arncliffe, railway station


Arncliffe railway station is on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Linein the southern suburb of Arncliffe. The original buildings on Platform 3 and 4 were built in 1884 and extended in 1923. This view is from the back of the concourse where lifts were installed in 2016 to these platforms and the Burrows Street entrance.

    1. The old stationmaster and ticket sale office on the concourse (now a cafe) is weatherboard. So they gave the lift wells a timber look to match.

  5. Those glass walls on the Arncliffe Station must have looked very modern back in the 1880s, even if changes were needed after WW1. They still look impressive now.
