Our summer here in the United States is ending, and with it, a moment of gratitude, because a friend's son was caught in a rip current while on vacation several weeks ago. Fortunately, he was rescued. I shudder looking at this picture.

ReplyDeleteWell, they can't say they weren't warned. I used to live in an area where the signs warned of an undertow. People still went in.

ReplyDeleteMy Sydney-raised husband lived in Bondi and loved the beach each summer morning before school.
ReplyDeleteI am Melbourne-raised and although I love Bondi's sand and coffee shops, the surf is too rigorous for me.
