Waverley Cemetery is located along a cliff, in the eastern suburb of Bronte. This angel monument on one of the graves is impressive but so is the spectacular backdrop of North Bondi and the Pacific Ocean.

That is one lovely view, what a great place to share a memory of someone dear!
ReplyDeletea beautiful cemetery!
ReplyDeleteThe angel is a beautiful monument and the view behind is just gorgeous. Great capture!

If I die in Sydney, bury me next to the Bronte beach. I want to spend Eternity watching the water.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, is Bronte cemetery still open for business? Plots must have been very desirable.
Hels, I believe so from what I gather from their website. I imagine that space would be limited so plots here would be at a premium.
ReplyDeleteIt really is lovely down there. I'd love to do a sunset shoot there one day.
ReplyDeleteI agree its a lovely setting!!
ReplyDeleteAlways liked this place. Thank you Jim.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, a beautiful spot to spend eternity!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful monument...I love angels...and the view is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous location, and your photo does it full justice, Jim.

Beautiful memorial. There is something about angel memorials. The thought of a dearly departed in the care of an angel makes the burden a bit easier to bare.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful resting place!
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the location beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive block of real estate!

Impressive, Jim! The view of the sea in the background is marvellous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting! Have a great week.
Wonderful panoramic view which seems to give the cemetery an extra sense of eternal life waiting! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFantastic image.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteOh beautifully shown Jim, the backdrop is indeed fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, and I like the moon in the background...
ReplyDeleteLovely views seem to be a common factor with so many cemeteries!
The angles you've posted look like sisters. And I swear they have cousins in a nearby cemetery here in Oakland. Couldn't possibly be the same sculptor, could it?
ReplyDeleteOakland Daily Photo, I don't know the origins of the sculptures but I suppose it is quite possible that they came from the same sculptor or same place.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love angels. And this cemetery is set is one of the loveliest settings I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have that one in the top drawer too, Jim, but sans the lovely backdrop that you have included.
ReplyDeleteI have an idea for an overview of the entire joint, but have to wait for this dangblasted weather to roll on out. Looking at the SMH weather map, March is pretty much a disaster. Have to get used to grey grey grey ...
A cemetery with a sea view. I find it fantastic!
