Parsley Bay is a narrow inlet of Sydney Harbour, in the eastern suburb of Vaucluse. The Parsley Bay Bridge is a footbridge over the bay. The beach at Parsley Bay Reserve is popular with swimmers even on a cool Autumn day such as this. Along the rocky foreshore, there are also a number of access points deeper in bay and an unobtrusive floating shark net keeps them safe.

ReplyDeleteLovely restful place. Was there only three weeks ago on a visit to my Australian grandchildren. My pics are all from the direction of the park or beach looking out to the harbour though. Were you on a boat to get this angle?

Lovely, Jim. It almost looks like it's somewhere in a small country town.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what this footbridge connects. Looks like a nice spot to cool down. Do you swim here, Jim? [I'm annoyed with Blogger-Google for removing the "subscribe to comments by email" option on all comment forms except the embedded form. It's silly to ask a question on a blog and not be able to see an answer unless one remembers to return... :-( And since I am blog hopping through a very sloooow anonymous proxy, I don't even have time to remember.]
ReplyDeleteA very snazzy suspension bridge for pedestrians!
ReplyDeleteFrancisca, I haven't actually swum here. I actually only discovered this wonderful place, a couple of years ago. It's not close to home so I'm not so familiar with this part of Sydney.
ReplyDeleteLovely spot Jim, I like very much the idea of the shark nets.
