This timber bridge leads to the Robyn Webster Sports Centre, in the inner west suburb of Tempe. 'Gift Given' by Bronwyn Bancroft is the Aboriginal mural on the exterior which features fish, lizards, snakes, men and women in diamond formations. It is the largest mural in the Southern Hemisphere and the detailed walls and roof are a landmark for planes landing at nearby Sydney Airport.

That's a bit unique Jim, not many gyms can boast an all over mural, it looks very eyecatching.
ReplyDeleteGreat shadows there.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of that wondrously decorated building being a landmark for incoming planes!
ReplyDeleteFortitude of Shadows
Patterns galore! i love it! And, how neat that the building art serves as a 'site' for planes landing.
ReplyDeleteEven the shadows were going to see the attraction at the end of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteIncredible! To think a gym is an icon as a mural and a plane landmark! And going by the size of the gym, I guess it is well patronised! I imagine the planes would be travelling rather low and loud at this point! Extra shakes no charge???
ReplyDeleteIt's very close to the airport. If you look on the right side, you can see just a plane sitting at the airport.
DeleteNice shot...like the shadows. Wish my gym was as bright n cheerful on the outside.
ReplyDeleteI have to keep my eyes open next time when landing at Sydney airport!
