Glebe, shops

These heritage listed shops and residences are located on the corner of St Johns Road and Ross Street, in the inner west suburb of Glebe. They were built from 1890 in the Federation Free Classical architectural style.

    1. Looking at the heritage listing information, there must have been a third building originally. I think it must have matched the one on the corner to balance it out.

  2. Thanks :) I have never heard of an architectural style called Federation Free Classical, but I wouldn't know what to call your Glebe shops myself. They are terrific, but not like anything else around that we might think of.

  6. The upper levels have been preserved well! Quite an impressive design! And like the play of arched shadow on the balconies!
