Waverley Cemetery overlooks the Pacific Ocean, in the eastern suburb of Bronte. The first interment took place here in 1877 and there are more than 50,000 gravesites and memorials over 40 acres. This heritage sandstone administration building along St. Thomas Street is built in the Victorian architectural style. The entrance to the cemetery can be seen here.

Mersad, I've featured some of the monuments and the entrance to the cemetery on my blog before. I'll try and get a wide shot of the whole cemetery on the edge of the cliff.

ReplyDeleteAmy, I have taken a few photos of the remarkable ones. You should be able to see a few of these on my blog by searching on Waverley Cemetery in the search window located at the top left.
