This tram waits at the Capitol Square Light Rail Stop along Hay Street at Haymarket, on its way to Central Railway Station. The Corporation Building is the heritage listed building that can be seen in the background.

Thanks for the backlink on the Corporation Building- that's what really catches my eye.
ReplyDeletequite a contrast in the two back buildings- I love the architecture of the brick building.
ReplyDeleteNew, old and in between.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful old brick building. The route sign on the tram is clear and to the point.
ReplyDeleteAre you old enough to remember your city's excellent tram system?
ReplyDeleteIt was a crime, destroying that system.
No, Hels. The last tram line shut down about five years before I was born. They are currently building a new tram line which will be running down George Street in Sydney.
DeleteInteresting tram design, as I am now so used to the Melbourne variety. In particula, the front windscreen seems so large and low.
ReplyDeleteThey've got a few different designs running. I'll have to go back and shoot the others too.
DeleteNeat shot - nice citysccape.

There are a lot of buildings in Sydney which ought to be listed on the conversation list especially the brick-built ones! Can't find many of that sort around anymore!
