Enmore, shop mural

This mural is on the side of a shop and residence located on the corner of Enmore Road and Phillip Street, in the inner west suburb of Enmore. It was created by graffiti artist Phibs who has created quite a few murals around the inner city suburbs. Alfalfa House is a not-for-profit organic food cooperative that provides minimally packaged and processed affordable organic food to its members and visitors to the shop.

    1. Mersad, they actually painted the first floor recently grey and the awnings maroon but for some reason chose not to paint right up to the top of the decorative section.

  3. I like the mural, only I have the idea that the colors are a bit faded out. Pity.

    1. s.c., it looks a bit more faded with direct sunlight on it but I think the softer pastel colours are intentional.

  4. I like this whimsical mural that makes the old building feel a lot friendlier.

  5. I love the mural. Wish it was bigger so we could see more detail. Next time I go to Sydney I may have to find this one.

  8. I recognised the style straight away Jim, there's quite a bit of Phibs around Perth also.

  9. Graffiti artists all seem to have similar techniques. It is interesting. I cannot even imagine how they do their art with spray cans. This is a big one....very impressive and colorful.

  10. Interesting building, but - sorry - I don't like the painting like this graffiti. It's modern, I know this but the painting is ugly in My mind...

    1. Erica, it's a huge improvement on the tags and graffiti the building had previously attracted.
