Hurstville, Baptist Church

The former Hurstville Baptist Church is located on the corner of Dora Street and Queens Road in the southern suburb of Hurstville. It was built in 1934 in the Inter War architectural style and is now used a youth centre. The church hall was built behind it in 1936 in the same style.

  1. In the inter war era, just coming out of the Depression, this must have seemed an appropriately modest church building.

    1. Hopefully they can be heritage listed and saved because there has been talk of selling them and redeveloping the site.

  5. Am glad they found a great purpose for this old building! The front of the hall behind it, remind a little of the 16th century style in Holland. Many thanks for sharing these buildings with All Seasons, and have a great week! Heard about the fires - you are not close to it, I hope?
