The entrance to Narwee railway station, in the southern suburb of Narwee. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South Line services. The station opened in 1931 when the East Hills line opened from Tempe to East Hills but has seen many changes in the years since then including the installation of a glass lift or elevator.
A brave choice of tile colour, but I like it.
ReplyDeleteI am assuming the rail runs above the ground.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's above ground in the suburbs and goes underground close to the city.
DeleteFascinating to see the different train stations around the world ~ great photo!

I don't even know where this is (but I live near Tempe so I should, I suspect!)
ReplyDeleteLydia, it's between Beverly Hills and Riverwood.
DeleteI like the station design.
ReplyDeleteLOVE those vivid red walls. I wish more public buildings were as colorful as that station.
ReplyDeleteMy post features a visit to Seattle's Volunteer Park Conservatory.
Beautiful station. Loved the pic.
ReplyDeleteThat wall is a very striking shade of red.
