The theme for New Year's Eve celebrations on the northern forecourt of the Sydney Opera House this year was "Party of the Decades" with Australian and international artists performing hit songs from across the past six decades. The lights on the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background were synchronised to match the colours and performances on stage.
