my husband was a Sydney lad, leaving only in Jan 1971. He lived next to Waverley Primary School in a block of flats that looked EXACTLY like the Sydney Chinese Alliance Church - same materials, central steps, symmetrical facade, rectangular length, bushes in the front etc. However the coloured bricks were darker in Waverley.
hmm it's almost a bit retro looking to me, have you got rain there Jim?
ReplyDeleteYes, Aimz. It has finally started raining. Good rainfalls since Thursday.
DeleteAside from the cross, it doesn't look like a church.

...Jim, was it built to be a church?
ReplyDeleteTom, I've had trouble finding any information about it's original purpose but I'll do some more research.
Deletehappy new year.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an old office building
ReplyDeleteNicely captured. The church website is interesting.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see and read the comments. I suppose it's true that the 'church' is really the people and not the building.
