Pyrmont Bridge (Theme Day: Covid-19)

A view of Pyrmont Bridge looking towards the Sydney skyline. This footbridge is practically deserted at this time of self isolation and social distancing due to the corona virus.

  1. There's something almost eerie and post-apocalyptic about empty city streets!

  2. That's a very good shot, the flag colours make a good contrast against the white buildings.

  5. It's so weird. A friend was down at the Opera House for work and it was completely empty!

  6. On "normal" days, I'm sure that bridge is swarming with people.

  7. Hi Jim, your photo does a good job of showing the effect of self isolation. I especially like how the flags add depth to the photo. Stay safe.

  9. It looks like there should be a huge parade marching toward the viewer. It has been 26 years since my only visit to Sydney and I remember nothing but busy streets.

  10. Empty streets are pretty normal now, at least in some cities and countries!

  13. Love the composition of that photo, it draws the eye across the bridge and highlights the emptiness. It just looks weird without the people. Sydney without the bustle would not seem like Sydney at all.
