Petersham, mural

This mural is located on the side of a shop on the corner of Addison Road and John Street, in the inner west suburb of Petersham. 'The Island' was created by street artist Fintan Magee in 2019 as a joint work with a local organisation Settlement Services International. It features two refugees Shohrat Tursun and Dilnigar Alim who are sitting on an island.

  4. I don't think anything will make our Federal government more sensitive to refugees. But this mural might help.
