This pair of two storey semi detached houses are located on the corner of Union Street and Thomas Street, in the north shore suburb of McMahons Point. This heritage listed building is designed in the Federation Filigree style with Art Nouveau influences and built in the first decade of the twentieth century.
I like the way the filigree casts an intricate pattern on the lower window.
ReplyDeleteMy friend lives on Thomas. I've never noticed that house. Will take care to notice it next time!
ReplyDeleteThey would certainly stop me in my tracks and stare. What a creation.

ReplyDeleteI have seen lovely Federation Filigree architecture, and I am familiar with Art Nouveau elements. But that raised roof thingy is unusual.
