A small plane was skywriting over Marks Park, in the eastern suburb of Tamarama during the 24th Sculpture by the Sea exhibition. The plane's acrobatics were breathtaking but the strong winds did not give the expelled smoke a chance to form a full message. This was presumably being filmed by a drone which was captured here in the smoke trail.

Too bad about the strong winds, but a wonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteI love how your photo and the SWF photo this week are similar. Skywriting seems very ambitious, especially when it is windy.
ReplyDeleteWe're singing the same tune this week. :)
Delete...neat, but what does it say?
ReplyDeleteIt was something cheerful but I was so busy trying to capture the perfect shot that I can't recall what it was now.
Deletebeautiful sky
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty funny--kind of like a little kid with her first crayons. But good on the guy for even trying with those winds! Nice shot, though.
ReplyDeleteExcellent sky painting by jet
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen skywriting in years. It was a lot more common when I was growing up. It did make for an interesting sky picture.
ReplyDeleteQuite a busy sky!
ReplyDeleteBlue Angels show?
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
