These two giant Rabbit Lanterns are located along the Dixon Street pedestrian mall, at the corner of Little Hay Street in Chinatown in the inner city suburb of Haymarket. They have been installed to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rabbit. Standing in front of a contemporary arch or gate structure, they were created by artists Yuxiao Wang and Meilun Gao. The pair of luminous rabbits are decorated with translucent perspex strips that dispel colourful lights when illuminated.
