This gateway is located at the northern end of the Dixon Street pedestrian mall in Chinatown in the inner city suburb of Haymarket. This traditional style of Chinese architectural arch or gateway structure is known as a paifang or pailou. The arch features the words "Understand Virtue and Trust".
