The southern end of Bronte Beach, near the rock pools, in the eastern suburb of Bronte. This sign warns of dangerous currents at this end of the beach and the lifeguard's surfboard is there in case of any surf rescues. After a recent storm there is quite a bit of seaweed in the water and washed up on the sand.

...looks beautiful on this winter day.
ReplyDeleteA crisp clear day. I'll keep to the pool for a swim.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were in Australia, nine years ago, we walked from Bondi to Coogee along the lovely coastal path. I remember Bronte Beach very well!

An iconic coastal walk.
DeleteBeautiful -- I enjoy wild beaches the best! It sounds cold-hearted I know, but I'm not sure someone who that sign tries to swim there would deserve to be saved -- putting the lifeguard at risk when the sign clearly states the danger!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking me to a beach different to my own!
