'Lorne' is a heritage listed house located along The Avenue, in the southern suburb of Hurstville. It was designed in the Victorian Regency style and built in 1895 for Edward John Hughes. It is now the presbytry for the adjacent Hurstville Uniting Church.

ReplyDeleteI don't know for sure but it could be name after the Marquis of Lorne who married the daughter of Queen Victoria in 1870.
