This heritage listed house is located along The Avenue, in the southern su burb of Hurstville. It was designed in the Federation style and built around 1912 for Edward John Hughes. It is now home to Southside Health & Wellbeing medical centre.

I am glad the historically significant house has been protected, but shame about the surrounding blocks of very ordinary flats.
