Quay Quarter Tower

Quay Quarter Tower is located along Bridge Street, between Young Street and Phillip Street near Circular Quay. The building in its original form was known as the AMP Centre which was built in 1976 and  consisted of 45 floors. The structure underwent a redevelopment designed by Peddle Thorp & Walker, which increased its height, width and modernised the entire form and design. It reopened as the Quay Quarter Tower in 2022 with 54 floors.

  1. I love modern high rises like this for their unexpected angles and departure from the rectangular pattern that governed so long.

    1. There is some controversy. Some people love it but some people hate it.

  2. This would be fun to photograph. If I know myself, and I think I do, I would shoot it as 20 photo panorama and spend the rest of the evening stitching together.

    1. I had a good view of it from a rooftop bar nearby.

  3. Good shot! I wonder if architects must have taken inspiration from a toddler's wild imagination to design this quirky building.
