St Andrew's Cathedral

St Andrew's Cathedral is located on the corner of George Street and Bathurst Street. This view of the cathedral church of the Anglican Church of Australia is from Town Hall Square. The heritage listed building was originally designed by James Hume, with the nave built in 1837. Edmund Blacket took over the design in 1846 in the Victorian Academic Gothic style and completed it in 1868. A view of the main entrance can be seen here and here.

  1. I'd love a view of the facade without the trees hiding it - they seem rather to serve as a screen. It looks like quite a contrast to the modern structures around it.
