These stairs cut through the Rozelle Parklands Amphitheatre, leading up to the chimney stacks above motorways in the inner west suburb of Rozelle. The ampitheatre can be used for live performances but also doubles as a grandstand for a football field.

This is a striking blend of urban design and landscape. The way the stairs cut through the amphitheatre and rise toward the motorway stacks gives the whole place a layered, almost sculptural quality.
