Rocky Point Island is a rocky outcrop off Balmoral Beach, in the north shore suburb of Mosman. A small bridge links the island with The Esplanade in Hunter Park.
It looks remote and peaceful, not a busy inner suburb like Mosman. Are those people sunning themselves in August??? When we are putting leather jackets on????
I have never explored Balmoral on foot, but with your photos it looks liked a great place to head too. It was just to the left of this photo where we came across a pod of dolphins the week before.

ReplyDeleteWe have had some spectacularly warm and sunny days, even though it's the middle of winter. There were even some people swimming there that day.

I just love this spot. How gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI little bridge for high tide?
ReplyDeleteI think that's exactly why they built it but it's also quite steep to climb from the beach.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous spot and the little bridge is so cute!
ReplyDeleteA fine scene! It doesn't look like winter!
ReplyDelete«Louis» thanks you for contributing this to Sunday Bridges!
Louis, we've had the second warmest July on record and are on track for one of the warmest winters ever.
DeleteGreat photo! Would you mind if I used it on my blog with a story I wrote about Balmoral?
ReplyDeleteThat's fine, Marco. As long as you give me credit for it and it's not being used for profit.
DeleteThanks Jim appreciate it!
