This Supercat Class ferry is docked at the new ferry wharf in the eastern suburb of Rose Bay. The ferry was acquired in 2000 and named after Saint Mary MacKillop, who was canonised in 2010 as Australia's first Saint.

Tranquil reflections Jim, nice one.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the wharf and ferry, it was also interesting to read about your saint who unlike the ones in Europe was not killed in some horrible way.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, although MM's mother was drowned in a shipwreck at Green Cape in NSW. We stayed at the lighthouse keeper's cottage there and her grave in nearby.
ReplyDeleteSo do you think it was a bit insensitive that they named a boat in her honour?
DeleteLovely watery reflection and so peaceful! Great capture for the day, Jim. Hope your weekend is going well!
