The Balmoral Rotunda is located in Hunter Park at Balmoral Beach, in the north shore suburb of Mosman. This bandstand was built in 1930 as part of a beach improvement program and has hosted many bands, festivals and events.
OOOO! I was hoping that you would post this one after seeing your photo of Balmoral Beach. This is the memory I have of Shakespearean plays here by night light. And the rotunda still looks beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYes, a nice photo! I like the framing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place. I'm sure it has had a lot of use over the years--if only it could talk!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Betty - lot's of interesting stories to tell...
ReplyDeleteNice to see structures such as this so well maintained.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot as usual and how you manage to never has people in shots amazes me.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is quite a challenge but this was on Friday, so there weren't many people in the park although there were quite a few along the beach.

ReplyDeleteVery nice. It looks a little like a temple.
ReplyDeleteHow old is the rotunda? It looks great against the blue sky!

DeleteWe had a lovely old bandstand in the town I used to live in. On Monday evenings during the summer an old brass band would play there.
ReplyDeleteI can envision a band playing a lively tune. Thanks for playing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Jim.
We have a few of those scattered around, but none as nice as this.
