Botany fire station

Botany Fire Station is located in Banksia Street, in the eastern suburb of Botany. This heritage listed building was designed by E.L. Drew and built in the Federation Arts and Crafts architectural style. It has a very similar architectural design to the former fire station which I featured yesterday at Arncliffe which is now used a pre-school.

  1. Nice photo - I want to see an Aussie fire truck!

  2. I love this concept for a series! Would never have thought of it in my wildest dreams! There is a station in Castlereagh St which is quite old and gets opened for the Historic Houses Open Day every 2 years. It is a treat to visit ...

  3. Leif, I'll try and take a photo of a fire truck, next time I see the fire brigade in action, around the city.
Julie, you must have read my mind. Keep an eye out in the next couple of days.
