This heritage building at Eveleigh is now known as the International Business Centre at Australian Technology Park. The former Works Manager’s Office was part of the original construction of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops in the 1880s. Not a particularly remarkable building from this angle but it features an interesting bell tower.
Wonder what it was originally, Jim? Any idea?
ReplyDeleteNot sure what it was originally Julie. The only information that I was able to find was a late map of the Eveleigh Workshops that describes this building as the Work Manager's Office.
ReplyDeleteAlways new to see and here I am amazed at your blog like.Manuela
ReplyDeletelove the composition!
ReplyDeleteI like any building with a bell tower!
ReplyDeleteI think it's quite special. Interesting architecture.
ReplyDeleteI do like the nice straight-forward quality of that building. Looks like a courthouse maybe.
ReplyDeleteThe bell tower seems strangely ornate for such a plain, square building. It certainly adds interest!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Bells are universal in their appeal. Blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI love your old train station, some of the best bell towers rang in the arrival of the train.
