Bowral winery
I took another trip down to the southern highlands last weekend to the Centennial Vineyards at Bowral, 126 kilometres southwest of Sydney. We had lunch at a beautiful restaurant attached to the Centennial Vineyards. This place has a very European look and atmosphere.
Nice early morning light in these, Jim. I am not so keen on attempts to recreate atmospheres from other countries here to promote commercial enterprises. Makes me think that someone is using me, is tweaking my emotions.
ReplyDeleteStrangely this reminds me of the cafe in the park here the top shot. Given me the idea of what to photograph this week. I'm with Julie on the light.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful place — both the building and the gardens. I love the light in your photos!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to sit out side and enjoy a glass of wine.
ReplyDeletebut but but «Louis» thought that what the California vintners said was true - there are no other wines in the world than California wines! Do you mean to tell «Louis» they lied?! «Louis» is shocked! Shocked he tells you!
ReplyDeleteI like the natural colors in the buildings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene. I would love to take a wee stroll through the gardens then sit with a glass of wine and reflect. Absolutely gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeletevery interesting n cool.tq
ReplyDeleteThe winery has a beautiful patio, seating area, fireplace and fountain...looks like a lovely place to visit. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place. You captured it beatifully.

the photos are above seems to be classical, i bet the ambiance are the same.
ReplyDeletethanks for dropping by to my blog.
We've got a ton of wineries around here, as well. I think close to 200 in the valley alone. I haven't yet posted photos of them - I've not gone around with my camera to catch them for my blog - but I intend to. This is a very unique winery...doesn't look anything like the ones around here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and commenting. It's always fun to "meet" a fellow blogger.
Wow, nice vineyard. Great shots of it. But, did you taste the wine and was it good? Would kind of grapes do they grow?
ReplyDeleteYes Frank, they do wine tasting at the winery and we were able to select our favourite to have with lunch at the restaurant. The white wines were superb. This vineyard is ideal for growing grapes for the white wines because Bowral, in the southern highlands, is a rather cool area, although they also bring in grapes from other parts of the country to produce some red wines.
ReplyDeleteAhh, nice place. Looks like someting in my dreams. Like the colours and the light.
