Little Hunter Street hosts a temporary art installation called "The Meeting Place", as part of the Laneways: By George! Hidden Networks project. This colourful, narrowed laneway encourages participation and interaction by pedestrians walking through this urban space.
The laneway connects Hunter Street to a shopping arcade, located below a skyscraper called Australia Square.

ReplyDeleteIt's pretty, but I would get a little claustrophobic walking through that!
ReplyDeletemagnificent and eye-catching! i love it because it's yellow and intriguing.
ReplyDeleteJ Bar: Sydney looks like a wonderful vibrant city. We've been out in the country (here in Oregon) for a few months now--and we love it. But it would be good to try big city life for a little while now. Yours looks like the kind of city we'd love. Lively and a bit quirky. Tx for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these, I'm hoping to get around the laneways at some stage but haven't had a chance yet. did you see the one with the trees?
ReplyDeleteYes Ann. Look out for the trees tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteEye catching image ! Thanks for sharing .
ReplyDeleteThere is a similar piece of art in the Guigelheim in Bilbao Spain it gives you a weird feeling walking around it.
ReplyDeleteI love this and the previous instalation! Both are so very cool!
ReplyDeleteI dunno, you get too close to other pedestrians there. Looks great but I´m suspicious about how it works.
