I think this is one of the few times I've seen gray, grumpy, but gorgeous skies in your always wonderful captures of the harbor! Fantastic! Hope you have a great weekend, Jim!
Bit of stormy weather at the moment, I am led to believe. Some of this wrought iron fencing is original. Hard to tell which bit. A firm near Sydney Park in Alexandria wroughts it for them.
Stewart M, it's definitely the most identifiable Australian building in the world so it could also be one of the most identifiable buildings in the world.
Always gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful from all angles and in all weather. I like your use of the railing to frame the view.
ReplyDeleteA writer cannot go wrong with the Sydney harbour and opera house in their blog :) It always looks impressive.

It's good to see a bit of swell on the harbour - most photos show it on calm sparkly days.

Still a great view, even with storm clouds rolling in!
ReplyDeleteThe water looks a little rough in your photo. Actually, so does the sky!

The sky, whether deep blue or grey,
Has stories to tell every day;
So if the day’s clear,
Be sure to draw near—
The heavens know just what to say!

It almost looks like it is cold there!
ReplyDeleteRedPat, despite the storms it actually wasn't too cold that day but it is starting to cool down now.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture. The opera house is amazing.
