Cronulla, Elouera Beach, tower

The lifesaver's tower at Elouera Beach, one of the patrolled beaches in the southern suburb of Cronulla. The towers at Cronulla beaches were painted a sky blue, which can be seen here, but have recently been changed to a sandy yellow.

  1. That is a pretty fancy life guard tower! The classics are only a very high chair with an umbrella. :) Nice!

  2. Beautifully shot, I love that water-don't care if its full of sharks, I still want to take a dip in right now! LOL. Thanks for sharing:)

  3. Jane, don't worry. The lifesavers look out for sharks so you're safe if you swim between the flags at a patrolled beach.

  4. as much as I love the sky blue...I'm leaning toward the sandy yellow...less competition with the natural sky color!

  7. This is what I like about Aussie beaches, lots of handsome hunks.

    Are you a life guard?

  9. We've got one down at Semaphore Jim and it's painted butter-yellow .... Perhaps that colour is easier to see on the beach.

  10. Ann, no I'm not a life guard but I admire the people who are.

  17. What an unusual lifeguard tower. Hmm, my son always wanted to live in Australia and be a lifeguard, I'm afraid he never got there as a lifeguard, perhaps as an engineer.
