Milsons Point, Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace is located on the shore of Sydney Harbour, in the north shore suburb of Milsons Point. Crystal Palace is an events venue which is part of the Luna Park amusement park, which opened in 1935. From 1924 to 1932, Dorman Long and Co occupied the site to build parts for the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Is there a prince by the name Jim there?
ReplyDeleteMomentarily to take the photo. :P
DeleteThis is an interesting venue. I attended a dinner here as part of a conference once and I must admit that getting to it across the harbour via ferry was half the fun especially as it was quite rough at the time.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the palace. I had to laugh at Ann's comment. :) Have a fabulous week.

You have captured it so well...great perspective. I remember going to two parties there..one for my son when he was about 6 (there was even a clown) and the other as 19 year old living it up:) Nowadays I just see it from the ferry.
ReplyDeleteHad a great New Year's Eve celebration there a few years back myself.
DeleteThanks for this shot. Now I know what it looks like up close. Many times I've sailed past Luna Park but never went ashore.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully captured. That's a wonderful 'palace'.
ReplyDeleteThat is blue-tiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Happy Blue Monday, Jim.
Great shot!
