The Sydney Monorailis seen here travelling above Market Street as it makes its way from the city's central business district towards Darling Harbour. This was taken on Sunday on its last day of operation after 25 years of service.
It required a lot of maintenance work and it just didn't make enough money to make it worthwhile. Demolishing the track will also give them more space for a new development.
Thats a nice looking monorail, but i also noticed that cool tower in the back!
ReplyDeleteA perfectly composed picture!
ReplyDeleteAn excellent parting shot, Jim! Gorgeous light.
ReplyDeleteAu-revoir mono-rail ..... what a pity!
ReplyDeleteAnd why would they get rid of a monorail? Makes no sense!
