This painted rhino sculpture is part of the "Taronga Wild! Rhinos" public art exhibition located around the city to raise awareness and funds for Taronga Zoo’s Black Rhino breeding program and conservation projects. "Golden Baby" was created by Ken Done, one of Australia's most famous artists. This baby rhino, currently located at Campbells Cove at The Rocks, is smaller than the other ones I have featured before. I managed to snap the tall ship Southern Swan in the background just as it was departing.
I'd say that golden rhino has a great view!
ReplyDeleteA very original monument.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Love the rhino in golden glory but I am especially fascinated with the romance of the tall ship.
ReplyDeleteYou have a little bit of everything in this one image.
ReplyDeleteYes, I even managed to sneak in the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
DeleteSydney looks like an interesting city with the tall ships, the bridge, the "golden" rhino.

A picture of strength, both rhino and the water.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a shame about the black rhinos. You've captured a splendid image. I like that you included the tall ship.
ReplyDeleteA fine shot, Jim! «Louis» likes the tall ship next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge - with or without the rhino! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful things to see! Awesome composition.
