St George's Hall is located along King Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. This heritage listed building was designed by David Ross and built in 1887 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. It was built as a community hall and contained shops and offices. It is now part of the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts with shops and a cafe at street level.
