This former warehouse is located along King Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. The building was converted to apartments with shops on the ground floor in recent years.
I don't mind at all that old warehouses are converted into blocks of flats. After all, the internal dimensions are likely to be spacious and the outside architecture is preserved. And the location is great.
How wonderful that a new use was found for this striking building!

ReplyDeleteQuite impressive conversion!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see that it was refurbished as flats for folks with shops beneath. Kind of trendy!
ReplyDeletelooks solid and utilitarian
ReplyDeleteI like that it still looks like a warehouse. They make great flats - high ceilings and tall windows!
ReplyDeleteThat happens so often these days and it is good to see these strong old buildings being saved!
ReplyDeleteThey did a good job of this conversion.
