Queen's Square, Prince Albert
The statue of Prince Albert is located in Queen's Square, north of Hyde Park at the intersection of Macquarie Street and St James Road. It was unveiled in 1866 and stands on the eastern side of Macquarie Street, facing the statue of his wife Queen Victoria on the western side.
Looks imposing....nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThere are certainly many honors to these two historic figures around the world.

Lovely shot of statue juxtaposed against that clear blue sky~
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you ~ ^_^
I have stood under this statue! A tour bus guide told us how heartbroken Queen Victoris was at Prince Albert's passing and that she wore black the rest of her life.
ReplyDeleteI like statues like this with a step base where people can sit and chill.
ReplyDeleteI really like seeing your images, Jim!
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the statue. It looks like a good weather for photography.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!

Beautiful shot of the stature and a clear blue sky!
ReplyDeleteNice statues, great shot! Enjoy your day and the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteNicely captured. I find local monuments to be interesting subjects. I am always curious to read about the purpose of the monument when there is a description somewhere on the base. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteJim... I kind of find it romantic he faces his wife. Happy weekend!
