The Grand Hotel is located along Princes Highway in the southern suburb of Rockdale. It was designed by Rudder and Grout and built in 1941 in the art deco architectural style.
I love the rounded corner and balcony. And there is one small area of decoration on the far left of the building that looks very smart. I wish there was more.
I really love the art deco structures. They all have so much personality inside and out. This one has such a nice corner curve in it. It is definitely a Grand Hotel.
That is a style that I've always liked, and it's relatively rare here.

What a great looking building. I like Art Deco. It's neat that the fence isn't overwhelming so as not to take away from the beauty of the building.
