Chippendale, flats

The "Strickland Building" contains residential flats and retail shops along Balfour Street, in the inner city suburb of Chippendale. It was designed by R. M. Broderick and built in the early 1900s in the Federation Arts and Crafts architectural style.

  2. Wow. Are those apartments? Or is that one house? Either way, it's a marvelous show of craftmanship than we normally see nowadays. :)

    1. Yes, Janice, the word apartment is used more often for high rises while flat is used for blocks with only a few storeys.
